Large-scale managers from across the country gathered recently for CAI’s annual Large-Scale Managers Workshop. During the workshop, participants tour planned communities and have access to networking events and education sessions expressly designed for them. Participants left equipped with information and collegial support.

On Sept. 10, CAI filed a lawsuit against the United States Department of Treasury challenging the application of the Corporate Transparency Act. We believe the application of the Corporate Transparency Act to community associations is an overreach and potentially unconstitutional, and we will continue to work to protect the interests of our members and communities nationwide.

September marks National Preparedness Month and serves as a reminder that timely preparation for natural disasters will help keep communities and families safe. Community associations should adopt comprehensive plans to prepare for, respond to, and recover from hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters. They also should educate their homeowners.

The Thousand Dollar Breakfast Club was formed in early 2023 to bring together friends and business associates in the community association world. They meet for breakfast every three or four months at a local restaurant. The best part: After they eat, the group pools the cash and presents the server with a grand $1,000+ tip.
