New community association board members often need to hit the ground running, but it’s also incredibly important to set aside time to understand the inner workings of the association. When new board members become familiar with the players, governing documents, budget, reserve study, and more, they can confidently guide the community and fulfill their responsibilities.
In keeping with CAI’s emphasis on building community, the CAI Minnesota and Houston chapters are prioritizing social responsibility through various social initiatives. The goal is to wrap diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into the outreach efforts. The help provided through these programs is bringing together community members from all backgrounds.
Community service events bring positive public awareness to community associations and the community management profession. Community associations and CAI chapters are more involved than ever in building community and establishing strong and meaningful relationships through volunteer service efforts.
CAI Nevada boasts a large, long-standing, and active contingent of homeowners who give their time, expertise, and effort to both their local communities and the chapter. Communication, education, and proper training are all part of designing an effective and intuitive homeowner volunteer recipe.
