The CAI Annual Conference and Exposition: Community NOW boasts more than 200 first-time attendees this year, another record for a record-breaking event. During the first-timers’ reception yesterday, these community association volunteers and professionals were excited to learn and grow.

Since the 1970s, community associations have been a popular housing choice for people around the world—and the number of new condominium communities and homeowners associations is expected to increase by more than 3,000 in 2024, according to projections by the Foundation for Community Association Research, an affiliate organization of Community Associations Institute (CAI).
Earlier this year, CAI grew beyond 45,000 CAI members. Reaching this number during our 50th anniversary year is a gratifying accomplishment, which reflects the hard work and dedication that CAI members and staff have put in to make for a robust and successful organization. But I think there’s more to the story.
