Since launching in May 2018, CAI‘s Ungated blog has provided news, tips, and trends important to the community association housing model with members and nonmembers. Our mission has been to connect residents, board members, community managers, and business partners with CAI’s subject matter expertise. This year, CAI challenged the constitutionality of the Corporate Transparency Act in an amicus brief in the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and then challenged the application of the act in a lawsuit against the Department of Treasury. CAI believes the application of the act to community associations is an overreach and potentially unconstitutional, and we will continue to work to protect the interests of our members and communities nationwide.
